Subdivision Ordinances

WHEREAS, the Alamance County Board of Commissioners has enacted the Alamance County Subdivision Ordinance; and

WHEREAS, the Alamance County Board of Commissioners has agreed to enforce and to administer the Alamance County Subdivision Ordinance in the incorporated municipalities of Alamance County upon resolution of the governing board of the municipality; and

WHEREAS, the administration and enforcement of the Alamance County Subdivision Ordinance by Alamance County in the Town of Swepsonville will benefit the citizens of the Town of Swepsonville; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Swepsonville Town Council,

Section 1. That the Swepsonville Town Council hereby requests the Alamance County Board of Commissioners administer and enforce the Alamance County Subdivision Ordinance in the Town of Swepsonville as last amended by the Alamance County Board of Commissioners, December 19, 2005.

Section 2. The Town of Swepsonville shall administer the following exceptions and additions to the Alamance County Subdivision Ordinance.

(a) All streets and roads as identified in Section 62 of the Alamance County Subdivision Ordinance shall be constructed according to North Carolina Department of Transportation standards as outlined in Section 63 of the Alamance County Subdivision Ordnance. Curb and gutter shall also be required of all said streets and roads. Section 64 of the Alamance County Subdivision Ordinance shall not apply for purposes of the Town of Swepsonville.

(b) That the Town of Swepsonville requires under Section 66.1 of the Alamance County Subdivision Ordinance that every lot shall front or abut on a public street or road and shall have a minimum of 80 feet of road frontage.

Section 3. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of passage by the Swepsonville Town Council.

Section 4. That any ordinance or resolution that is in conflict with resolut1on is to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed.
